My Story...
Originally from Ireland, I have been living in New Zealand for over 12 years. My journey with health and fitness started a long time ago—as you can see from the photo. Yes, that’s me on both the left and right! The difference? In the left photo, I weighed 125kg, and in the right, I had just completed my first ultra-marathon (50km). Life is full of surprises!

My passion for fitness and health has grown ever since I began my own journey all those years ago. Along the way, I made plenty of mistakes, often finding myself starting over again and again. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to lose motivation, struggle with consistency, and feel stuck. But through every setback, I learned valuable lessons—most importantly, what not to do. Now, I want to share that knowledge and help as many people as possible become the best version of themselves.

In October 2023, I made a life-changing decision. I left my job in tourism management, took a year off, and committed to making real changes. I realized that my career wasn’t allowing me to make the impact I wanted. So, I dedicated my time to earning the certifications needed to start this new chapter. Just over a year later, Joe Hanna Coaching was born—and I couldn’t be happier.

My 1 on 1 Coaching
Having been on my own journey, I’ve faced many of the same struggles that come with trying to make lasting changes. My coaching style is all about creating sustainable, healthier habits—not just for fat loss or fitness, but for overall health and well-being.

Like many, I once chased quick fixes. The results came fast, but they never lasted. Within months, I would find myself back at square one. Through experience, I learned that true progress isn’t about shortcuts—it’s about consistency and smart, sustainable choices. That’s why I want to empower and educate my clients, giving them the tools to continue their journey long after they finish working with me—without making the same mistakes I did.

My Studio
My studio is the perfect space if you would like somewhere that is quiet and exclusive to you for our 1 on 1 coaching sessions. Some people are not keen on the gym and that's ok. You do not need a full gym to reach your health and fitness goals. My space is equipped with the latest in suspension training technology - TRX. It enables us to perform a wide range of movements that target strength, stability, flexibility, and endurance—all in one system. Whether you're new to fitness or an experienced athlete, we can adapt the TRX to your fitness level, offering scalable exercises that are challenging yet very accessible. Feel free to get in touch for a demo on the TRX and see if it is suited to your needs.

Twizel Gym
I am also offering my services out of the local gym. With a wide range of cardio and strength equipment, this little gym has everything you need to start your fitness journey. Here I will be able to instruct you on the proper use of the weight/cardio machines and also teach you the correct form/technique on the free weights. I am also able to setup the TRX here if you would like a mix of the two.
For me to coach you here you will need to be a member, this can be organised at the council building in the center of town. It is $30 per month which is excellent value for what the gym provides.

If you are already going to the gym, happy with your form but only looking some structure and accountability, then online coaching might be the best option for you. You will have access to the Everfit App where I can provide you with personalised workouts tailored to your goals, fitness level and equipment available. Each plan includes clear exercise demonstrations, progress tracking, and regular updates to ensure you stay on track. You’ll also receive expert guidance and ongoing support, with check-ins and feedback to help you stay motivated and achieve lasting results. Whether you’re training at home, outdoors, or in the gym, my online coaching will give you the tools and accountability you need—all in one easy-to-use platform.

10 Sessions Package

10 x 1:1 coaching sessions with me, option to have 1 or 2 sessions per week, you decide. This is the perfect option if you have some experience in fitness and just need that little bit of accountability and direction to get you on track.

20 Sessions Package
$1500 (saving $300)
20 x 1:1 coaching sessions with me, option for 2 or 3 sessions per week. This option is perfect for those new to fitness and who really want to kick start their journey with commitment and consistency.

The All in Package
$3000
This is a 3 month all in package. Total commitment with 3 x 1:1 coaching sessions with me per week. Access to two of my Bootcamp programs & 1 month of free Online Coaching after the 3 months.

My Studio
There is now an exclusive space purposely kitted out for 1 on 1 Coaching and Small Group Training Sessions in Twizel.​ This is a private space where you can work on improving yourself and reaching the goals we set.
For group sessions I have space for up to 6 people on the TRX and more doing hybrid workouts with other equipment.​ Whether it's you and your partner, a few friends or the whole family, I have got your covered. Exercising in a group can be great to keep you accountable, motivated and it is certainly a lot of fun!

Have been joining Joe’s Bootcamp for the past 6 months and have been loving it. I didn’t think I was one for group fitness but I’ve been positively surprised. Joe will adapt the class to everyone’s level of fitness and offer different variations. He will encourage you to explore your limits without pushing you over the edge.
The games he implements with a bit of healthy competition will make you forget you are working out. The exercises vary from week to week, sometimes with equipment and weights sometimes without. Just the right amount of variety to keep it interesting and still see progress.
